Wynbrooke Elementary

Dekalb County Schools

Weekly Update: April 13-17

Greetings Wynbrooke Family,

Our first week was AWESOME, wonderful teaching and learning.  Your child(ren) should have shared with you about our riturals, routines, policies, and procedures so that you can support them in being successful in school.

Thank you students and parents for attending our first Spirit Night at FunXcess.  We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you in future events and programs that showcase, encourage, and provide support for our students.  Again, thank you.

Our doors open at 7:00 am. There is always traffic on our campus so please plan ahead and bring with you lots of patience as our teachers and students start their day.  Remember, if you arrive after 7:45 a.m., the doors will be locked and you will need to walk your child(ren) into the building to obtain a tardy pass for your child(ren).  As always, children should be seated by 7:45 a.m. as learning begins in their classroom at that time.

All returning students are required to provide the teacher with a current proof of residence (Lease, Mortgage Statement, Gas or Electric Bill) labeled with your child’s name.

Our dismissal system and procedures are up and running.  You should have seen that as the days progressed, the dismissal process (Kidgopher) became easier and shorter, all car riders need to be picked up by 2:45 p.m.  If you did not complete the Kidgopher registration process, you will need to do so ASAP, simply stop by the front office and complete the registration.

All summer enrichment projects were to be turned in to your child(ren)'s homeroom teacher, if you have not turned it in yet, please do so immediately.  Any questions regarding the summer enrichment project should be addressed to your child(ren)'s homeroom teacher.  You may contact them via email or send a note in your child(ren)'s planner.
