Please take a moment to review a few important announcements as well as upcoming volunteer opportunities.

Fall 2015 ITBS Scores for first, third, and fifth grade students will be sent home on Monday with report cards.

Next week, we will hold School Choice Tours in preparation for the 2016-2017 school year. Please invite your friends and neighbors who live in our attendance area to come out to learn about Wynbrooke. We are always hoping to recruit other outstanding families to become a part of our Wynbrooke Family. The school choice tours will take place on Tuesday, 12th and Thursday, 14th at 8:30 am in the cafeteria. An additional date has also been set for Monday, January 25th at 6:00 pm.

It is that time of the year for the Georgia Parent Survey.

We encourage you to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey because the data will be used as part of the calculation of the CCRPI School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. The URL address for the Georgia Parent Survey is posted below. The survey closes on February 19th.

If you would like to get the new year started by completing additional volunteer hours please plan to volunteer on Saturday, January 9th during our Title I Saturday School Tutorial Program. Volunteers are needed from 8:00 am-12:30 pm.

Calling All Dads! We have invested thousands of dollars to ensure that our students have great books to read and our teachers have awesome resources to use in class. We need our dads to assist us with assembling bookshelves for our new Leveled Book Room. If you are available this Saturday, January 9th 9:00 am-12:00 pm we would appreciate it greatly. Be sure to bring your own tools (Hammers, Phillips and Flat Screwdrivers). Ask for Ms. Goolsby.

It’s time for our second STAR Gala. Wynbrooke Elementary School will hold a celebration at the end of each nine weeks to celebrate the accomplishments of our “best behaved” students on each grade level. Invitations to the celebration will be considered by the homeroom teacher using the following criteria for that nine weeks ·No discipline office/bus referrals ·No more than (1) behavior action plan ·Not receiving (N) or (U) in Conduct (based on report card grade and weekly Shadow cards conduct) Parents please sign up for any item(s) you wish to purchase and donate to Wynbrooke's first Hollywood: Time to shine STAR gala. Of course your donations will be met with volunteer hours. ****PLEASE BRING IN ALL DONATIONS BY TUESDAY JANUARY 26, 2016****
