Summer Enrichment Parent Letter

Camp WB Updates:

We are pleased to offer Camp WB Monday, June 6th-Friday, July 1st which will include a focus on academics and a variety of enrichment experiences for our students. You will be able to register your child(ren) on the first day of camp. Don’t forget to also bring your $25 registration fee and weekly tuition in the form of a money order.

Summer Enrichment Project:

Visit our website (click on Summer Learning) to view information about the Summer Enrichment Project that is required for ALL Wynbrooke students. Please take time to view the attached letter for details on what is expected and how to get started. Thanks in advance for engaging your student in learning, even during the summer! Happy Learning!

Rising Scholars:

The DCSD Rising Scholars Program will be offered to 3rd and 5th grade students who were unsuccessful on the spring administration of the Georgia Milestones. This program will begin on Wednesday, June 8th and end on Thursday, June 30th (7:45 am-1:45 pm). Wynbrooke’s students will attend the Woodridge ES site for this program.

Rising Scholars Transportation:

If you plan to use DCSD transportation, please make certain that your child is at the satellite location which is Pine Ridge ES (NOT WYNBROOKE) by 7:15 am. Students will return to Pine Ridge ES in the afternoon, where you will be required to pick up your child.

For 3rd and 5th Rising Scholar students who will be dropping into Wynbrooke’s Camp WB, DCSD transportation WILL bring only those students to Wynbrooke in the afternoon. To take advantage of this child care opportunity, you must complete the attached registration form and pay the $25 registration fee. The daily drop in rate is $15.00 per day that your child drops in to Camp WB. Please see Ms. Hicks or Ms. Thigpen by Wednesday, June 8th to notify them of your plans so that we can notify the transportation department. All students will not be able to ride the bus to Wynbrooke.

Title I Social Studies Tutorial Program:

This program will be offered to select students Monday June 6th-Thursday, June 23rd. Students should be dropped off at the main entrance at 7:00 am and must report to the cafeteria. Students will be dismissed at 1:00 pm at the rear of the school near the entrance beside the gymnasium.

Available Seats for the 2016-2017 School Year:

Please let your friends and neighbors know that we still have available seats in 1st, 2nd, and 5th grades.
